Objective
The objective of the project is to develop advanced microencapsulation processes, addressing the current limitations of conventional scale-up processes, and to experimentally study the requirements needed at industrial scale in order to define the necessary equipment, materials and process conditions, thereby facilitating their industrialisation.
Microencapsulation is a technology that has gained ground in recent years due to the many advantages it offers, as it enables the development of innovative, healthy products adapted to the environment and the end user, with new performance features and functionalities based on the incorporation of new advanced materials. It is a technology used mainly for protection purposes and when the controlled release of a substance is required at a specific time and place. Therefore, microencapsulation technology makes it possible to transform conventional materials into materials with new performance features and high added value.

- Development and study of the scale-up of specific encapsulation processes using supercritical fluids
