Objective
The overall objective of the FOOCOLLECT project is to develop an autonomous fruit detection and collection system based on photonic technologies of 3D vision and machine vision combined with Artificial Intelligence, and incorporated into a mobile vehicle with a robóticarm, capable of navigating through the crop and collecting and storing the fallen fruit on the ground of the plot, in order to recover the wasted product and provide an economic return to farmers.
