RAPIDES

Food and Healthcare Resilience in Emergencies through Distributed and Generative AI
22 October, 2026

Objective

The overall objective of RAPIDES is to develop and validate an advanced technological architecture based on intelligent agents and multi-agent systems that enables the anticipation and analysis of incidents and emergency situations in the food and healthcare sectors, while supporting rapid response and management during the phase immediately following such events, addressing current challenges in impact mitigation and the efficient use of public and organisational resources.

The project’s main technological objective is to design, implement and integrate a functional agentic architecture, comprising different types of agents and interaction mechanisms, to demonstrate its coordinated operation and technical applicability in validation scenarios representative of real-life situations.

Activities

  • Research and development of the agentic architecture, focused on the design and implementation of the project’s common technological core.
  • Development of domain-specific intelligent agents, aimed at carrying out the developments specific to the different areas of application.
  • Development and integration of demonstrators, aimed at integrating the architecture and subsystems, as well as validating the results in defined scenarios.
  • Transfer, promotion and dissemination of results, covering the activities required to facilitate knowledge transfer and the visibility of the results obtained.
