Objective
The
main objective
of this project consists of researching and developing an integrated biotechnological system for microbiological cleaning and disinfection of pathogens, with application both in the food safety sector and in the clinical sector through corrective modules and predictive modules.
Activities
- Requirements and identification of priority pathogens.
- Selection and molecular engineering of endolysins with effect against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
- Encapsulation and controlled release of endolysins.
- Scaling and development of the endolysin bioproduction process.
- Development of metagenomic techniques.
- Development of sensors for the detection of priority pathogens.
- Formulation and validation of cleaning and disinfection solutions based on endolysins.
