IVACE – FEDER SUFRAPUR

IVACE – FEDER
16 September, 2021

Objective

The main objective of the project is to define sustainable fractionation and purification sequences for liquid matrices of different viscosities based on supercritical CO2 fractionation processes, as well as their potential combination with other operations aligned with green chemistry to obtain target fractions according to the type of raw material.

This definition of fractionation and purification sequences will make it possible to

  • develop more concentrated products with greater functionality and added value from liquid matrices, improving and expanding current ingredients for food, cosmetic, nutraceutical or chemical applications.
  • Remove unwanted substances from products, recovering the value of these products or enabling their use in other applications, such as natural oils containing pesticides or unwanted fatty molecules.

Activities

  1. Analysis of research advances in fractionation and purification with supercritical CO2
  2. Development of experimental devices for the study of fractionation and purification with CO2-SC of various liquid matrices
  3. Experimental evaluation of fractionation and purification operations with CO2-SC
  4. Integration of purification process sequences with supercritical fractionation for different raw materials
  5. Coordination and management
  6. Communication and dissemination
  7. Transfer and promotion of results
