Objective

The “GenerAtIve Food” project undertakes the cutting-edge mission of revolutionising the food sector through the application of Generative Artificial Intelligence technologies and advanced natural language processing to synthesise and analyse multiparametric information associated with food. This covers critical areas such as food safety, consumer preferences, nutritional and sensory criteria, legal regulations and evidence from scientific research.
The initiative focuses on interpreting large datasets in these areas to design innovative foods that respond precisely to the requirements specified by users and companies through needs expressed in natural language.

Results

Foundations for a new food design platform: The project has made it possible to establish the technical and methodological foundations of a platform aimed at designing new food products, incorporating nutritional, regulatory and market data.
Structuring and exploitation of key sector data: Different types of information (ingredients, regulations, trends and visual data) have been collected and structured, creating a repository ready to support food innovation processes.
First functional prototypes: Initial prototypes have been developed and tested for generating product concepts, consulting regulatory requirements and creating pre-commercial product images.
Transfer and initial validation with companies: The project advances have been contrasted with companies in the agri-food sector, confirming the interest in and application potential of the solutions developed.
