Objective
The
main objective
of NANOBAC is the creation of a reduced-format antibody library based on VHHs (Variable heavy of Heavy chain antibody), the smallest format of existing functional antibodies, as a tool to increase food safety with two possible applications for industry: food additives and a portable sensor for the early detection of foodborne pathogens.
Activities
- Detection and production/isolation of membrane proteins from microorganisms for affinity screening.
- Obtaining VHH collections through affinity screening.
- Design of antibody formats based on high-affinity VHH sequences.
- Recombinant production of antibodies for the development of the collection.
- Experimental sensitivity tests of the antibodies in the collection.
