Objective
The general objective of the FIVEX II project is to continue the study and evaluation of the main methodologies used at industrial level for the culture of both eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells, optimising the production of EVs. In addition, these vesicles will be isolated using the methodology defined during FIVEX I, which will allow subsequent characterisation of the composition of the EVs obtained for their application as functional ingredients in different industrial sectors.
Activities
- Research into the production of EVs from adherent cells on a larger scale
- Characterisation of the EV biogenesis process in probiotic microorganisms
- Application of omics techniques for the compositional evaluation of EVs
- Optimisation of the EV preservation process
- Communication and dissemination
- Transfer and promotion of results
- Management and coordination
