The Pre-Commercial Public Procurement tender CPP 01/2021 AB (DCCPI/OCPI)-ORGAN PRESERVATION was published on the Public Sector Procurement Platform on 5 March 2021. The procurement is carried out by CDTI, E.P.E. in collaboration with the Department of Economy, Science and Digital Agenda of the Regional Government of Extremadura, under the agreement signed between both entities on 5 May 2020 and published in the BOE on 27 May 2020. Pre-operational validation will take place at the “Jesús Usón” Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre.
This project has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) with the aim of promoting technological development, innovation and quality research.
Objectives
This initiative aims to validate organ preservation technologies capable of keeping the organ functioning normally, improving organ haemodynamics and reducing ischaemia-reperfusion injury, ensuring that the organ environment is practically identical to that of the organism.
To reach the prototype envisaged in this contract, the following specific areas of action have been identified to be developed throughout the 3 execution phases (Design, Development and Pre-Operational Verification):

- AREA OF ACTION 3: Development of system management and control
- AREA OF ACTION 4: Monitoring of organ status
- AREA OF ACTION 5: Monitoring of organ functionality
