STUDY OF NITROGEN MANAGEMENT FROM LIVESTOCK MANURE THROUGH ANAEROBIC DIGESTION TECHNOLOGY IN THE COMUNITAT VALENCIANA

Objective

Carrying out a technical study to support decision-making for the implementation of specific biogas plant models, together with digestate recovery technologies, in line with the current structure of livestock farms, the quantities generated and the conditions of agricultural soils in the Comunitat Valenciana, taking into account optimal management of both nitrogen and the organic matter derived from this manure.

Activities

Following the completion of the activities carried out in 2023, several points requiring a higher level of development have been identified:

Definition of the optimal models, centralised-decentralised, for each municipality / area of influence.
Analysis of alternative co-substrates to compensate for seasonality.
Digestate treatment system that maximises its agronomic quality, sustainability and energy balance.
Techno-economic feasibility study.
